During a DCC Mission, while escorting a strike package of 2 F-16s, Knife single-handedly intercepted and destroyed 4 Enemy Mig-19 aircraft before they could attack the strike package.

During a DCC Mission, Knife was tasked with destroying the remaining buildings at a Power Plant. While ingressing, he was attacked by 2 MiG-21s. He successfully destroyed both, retaining his A/G weapons. On attacking the target, he identified that he had destroyed two buildings with one bomb and attacked a target of opportunity, a ZSU-23. While returning to base, he identified 2 Mi-24s that were harassing friendly troops and engaged them, shooting one down with a Sidewinder and the other with his gun.

While carrying out a DCC mission to strike an enemy Command Post, Knife interdicted two enemy SU-17 bombers en route to strike friendly targets, destroying both. He then completed his primary mission and, while returning to base, identified two enemy Mi-24s at a FARP, striking them and the FARP with bombs, destroying both aircraft and putting the FARP out of service. Through his actions, not only did he strike an important enemy C2 target, but he prevented at least two attacks on friendly targets.
